This project was created for UPGRADE Kart, the club-wide game developed by UPenn’s Game Research and Development Environment.

I created lightning-shaped meshes in Blender and brought them into Unity, where I used Shader Graph and VFX Graph with a hand-drawn Procreate lightning texture to form the halo around the ship. Additional aura elements were made with Unity’s Particle System. Shader Graph was also used to create a barrier effect around the spaceship and the energy capsule at the back of the kart. All VFX were tied together through a single script that triggers an animation enabling the barrier and its effects.​​
